Grevillea Woolly Bear Hero is a very compact, soft, mounding groundcover shrub bearing massed waxy pink and white flowers. The flowering season of this delightful shrub is virtually all-year-round making it a very desireable plant in many different situations. Being extremely drought hardy, this is very useful mass planted as a ground cover, as path edges and great in rockeries. Woolly Bear Hero is also suitable on embankments. This plant prefers full sun or part shade for best results, is medium frost-tolerant and grows well in a range of climates including cool-temperate to sub-tropical semi arid and 1st coastal line. Gravelly soils neutral to acid pH or well drained clay loam and sandy soils are preferred. Minimal tip pruning to maintain shape is all that is required along with a low P fertiliser as needed. Once established Woolly Bear Hero is waterwise needs minimal watering. Grevillea lanigera Woolly Bear Hero will grow 10 - 30cm high and 1-1.5m wide.
