The Bougainvillea x hybrid Mary Palmer is a vigorous evergreen climber with large green elliptic foliage and a long-lasting profusion of reddish-purple papery bracts that contain three small cream salverform flowers.
This plant can add vibrancy to walls of any garden and creates a tropical feel in their inclusion. As vigorous climbers which thick foliage, they are useful as a screen over walls, fences and unsightly structures.

This species thrives in a warm climate. Plant this species in a sunny environment with well-drained soil. For best results keep the soil moist throughout their establishment and into full growth. Nevertheless, it is able to handle short periods of dryness once established. This plant is NOT frost-tolerant.
Prune after flowering to promote fresh new growth and continuous blooms. Mulching the soil will help to preserve moisture in the soil. For optimum results apply a low nitrogen fertiliser during spring.
