The Broad Leaf Paperbark (Melaleuca 'quinquenervia') is a small to medium-sized tree with white, beige and grey thick papery bark; hence the name 'Paperbark'. It's white bottlebrush-like flowers blooms and contrast against the grey-grey foliage during the spring through to autumn.

 

This plant is ideal for rural properties and large gardens and can act as screening or a windbreaker. The tree is also fire retardant and will regenerate its foliage after damaging fires.

Broad Leaf Paperbark

  • This plant is low maintenance. Plant at a full sun environment in well-drained soils. This tree will thrive in the wet soil but will tolerate drier soils as well as alkaline and salty conditions. Once established it will tolerate a range of climatic conditions, some of these including coastal positions, drought and light frosts.
