Hydrangea Magical Pearl is perfect for the classic designer garden or in your informal cottage garden. The rich green foliage contrasts beautifully with the pure white flowers which are long-lived and age to a chartreuse green and these can be dried and kept indefinitely. The flowering time of this top performing Hydrangea is Summer through to autumn and they are produced on old as well as new wood so pruning should be avoided unless necessary, although the fresh flowers can be picked at any time and this will make way for fresh new flower stems. If pruning IS required, do this in late summer. Hydrangea Magical Pearl prefers part-sun and afternoon shade. Plant in a well-draining soil using mulch through the summer months. Feeding in early spring with a controlled-release fertilizer will encourage vigorous healthy growth for the next flowering season.
