A graceful fine leaf form of Lomandra longifolia from Ozbreed with deep green strappy foliage and attractive yellow flowers appearing in early spring. This Australian native plant has proven to be a tough survivor in many landscapes for the past ten years, including harsh roadside and medium strip environments to home gardens. Tanika is a low maintenance plant ideal for mass plantings and borders. This grass-like landscape plant tolerates full sun, moderate and full shade. Tanika only requires occasional watering in dry areas and times of drought and will tolerate most soil types but prefers to be well drained. Water regularly while establishing the plant. Water and fertiliser are rarely required after establishment as fertilizing will darken foliage. Trim to 15cm with sharp implement outside hot dry periods to generate new growth as required.
