This is the Magnolia of the 'Greenback' variety. Amongst evergreen varieties, this plant has a very good reputation. It is a moderately growing tree with a narrowly pyramidal shape which will broaden as time goes on. The dense canopy of rich, shiny green foliage is a great selection for any landscape and has excellent uniformity even without pruning. In the summer, white flowers bloom from the tips of the branches and give off a lemon fragrance. 
 
The dense uniform and upright growth habit makes this plant great as a specimen plant or a privacy screen. Ideal for use in private gardens, parks and any open spaces.
