A compact growing Peach variety that produces medium to large deep pink to orange fruit with a sweet gold flesh, ideal for plucking and eating straight off the branch. The green foliage and the double pink blossoms provide a stunning all round tree. As it is a dwarf form, Valley Red is ideal for gardens with limited space, whilst still providing the added advantage of full sized fruit. This variety is also well suited to patio pots or containers, plant in a sunny position with well drained soils. For best results apply a complete fertiliser in winter and prune after harvest to manage branch growth and to prevent overcrowding. Spraying to prevent peach leaf curl is recommended. Prunus persica Valley Red Dwarf can grow to a height of 2 metres and a width of 1 metre.
