Phormium Bronze Warrior is a clump forming flax with striking strappy leaves of deep purple tones. This hardy and colourful plant is grown for its consistent foliage colour and uniform growth. The flowers are produced in summer and attract nectar feeding birds. Use the dark foliage to add colour and contrast as an outstanding feature plant, border in both the garden or pots and containers. This species thrives best in a sunny to partly shaded position, with well drained soil. Phormium Bronze Warrior is hardy, tolerating most condition and soil types, and is relatively low maintenance once established. Apply mulch in spring to reduce weed growth and to keep the roots moist. Protect from moderate frosts. Ensure the crown of the plant is not planted below the soil level.
