The Pony Tail Palm (Beaucarnea recurvata) is very peculiar in looks, with a swollen stem base and a thick palm trunk that split into smaller thick branches, topped with thin grass leaves up to 1 meter long. They produce numerous small white flowers in large panicles originating from the leaf rosettes. They then occasionally produce three-winged pink fruits.
This plant is a great specimen plant for tropical gardens or as an indoor plant if it is placed in a room with ample light.
