The wooly bush is A medium shrub to small tree that has upright branches covered in small hair-like leaves of an unassuming green hue. However, under direct sunlight the plant shows off a silvery gloss under direct sunlight which contrasting with the orange tinge of newer growth. Earning its name from the colour in the foliage.

The tightly wound foliage of this plant is suitable for use as a windbreak or for coastal restoration. It is also ideal for gardens as a feature shrub or a hedge
